Love Topeka is the umbrella name for a variety of initiatives to love our neighbors in Topeka. Our strategy is to partner with local organizations and to discover, develop, and deploy our own leaders who have a conviction and passion to love and bless our City for the glory of Jesus Christ.
This month’s Initiative Opportunities are:
- Topeka Rescue Mission:
- “Chosen” watch party team – Bring community and belonging to guests of the shelter by participating in a watch party of an episode of “the Chosen.”
- Serve food – Serve a meal to guests of the Rescue Mission homeless shelter.
- Bridge of Topeka: All experience levels are welcome.
- Bridge farms – Working in the gardens.
- Habitat for Humanity –
- Home build – Help make progress on the construction of a home for a local family in need. All experience levels are welcome.
- Foster Village –
- Providing Childcare for the moms’ group for children birth-12 years old.
- Breadbasket Food Pantry –
- Assisting with food distribution, organizing shelves, and maintaining inventory.
- “United” –
- Back to School Event Volunteer
